The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra is one of Israel’s most important cultural institutions and is itsnumber one cultural ambassador around the world. The orchestra performs regularly at prestigious festivals in Europe, such Salzburg, Lucerne, Berlin, London’s “The Proms” and more, and tours annually to perform at the world's leading cultural centers.

Maestro Zubin Mehta has served as the orchestra's music director since 1981. In 1992, Maestro Kurt Masur joined the orchestra as the honorary guest conductor and recently, Gianandrea Noseda was appointed as chief guest conductor.

Today’s greatest musicians perform with the orchestra: Valery Gergiev, Daniel Barenboim, Pinchas Zukerman, Itzhak Perlman, Gustavo Dudamel, Riccardo Muti, Vladimir Jurowski, Julian Rachlin, Murray Perahia, YujaWang and others.
