Babai Restaurant

The old veteran restaurant of BABAI in Jaffa serves good food. Nothing overly fancy, no gourmet, no butter – cooking is based on good healthy olive oil.
Babai, the owner, was a fisherman who one day decided to open a small fish and seafood restaurant. As the years went by, the place has grown in size and renown, yet never lost the feel of a small and peaceful establishment. Visiting the restaurant, you will meet Babai himself, who has an amazing repertoire of tales and stories about the sea and Jaffa, the place he has lived all his life.
BABAI serves a rare dish, not to be found anywhere else: a stir-fried seafood salad on a bed
of hummus. Also recommended are the fish, fresh from the sea, and a mixed platter – the Babai platter – small sea fish, shrimps and calamari. The restaurant commands a spectacular view with nothing to obscure the breathtaking sight. Sitting there, you can enjoy the peace and tranquility for as long as you like with no disturbances whatsoever. The décor is rural and open to the sea and fresh air. The restaurant has lots of open space, including a large back yard, enabling us to host events and celebrations for up to 600 people.
