POYKE AFRICAN STEAKS & BAR

At the year 2004, Chef Ariel Cohen, had opened the first branch of POYKE restaurant at a old antique and reconstructed building in Jaffa.
The POYKE is recognized worldwide, as the South African iron pot, used as a cooking instrument and as an integral part of the field trips culture, as its always the focus in every Campfire.
This basic and winning idea was imported by Chef Ariel Cohen from the field and was implemented in the restaurant.
The cooking at the restaurant combines between the food for the multitude from the market, and the classic dishes (including the use of Red Meat), with an emphasis on using the best raw materials.
Chef Ariel is taking advantage of utilizing the capacity retention and expansion of the heat in the pot, not only for slow cooking, but mostly for grilled steaks and succulent cuts of meat and for baking an addictive Chocolate Cake, which soon became the restaurants’ legendary dessert.
If you had not seen a couple so excited to taste the extremely hot Chocolate Poyke with extracted spoons, you did not see real joy in your life.
